PAOK Action improves living standards at the Homeless Shelter of Thessaloniki

Completing another strategic action, PAOK Action together with Porcelana, delivered a project that is expected to improve the living standards of the guests at the Homeless Shelter of Thessaloniki.

The right to a decent life is inalienable and equal for all. PAOK Action, as part of its strategic moves to provide assistance to those in need, has completed another important action that is expected to provide immediate relief to the guests of the Homeless Shelter of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. More specifically, utilizing the successful and long-standing sponsorship partnership with Porcelana, the leading Greek company in tiles and sanitary ware, PAOK Action and with the valuable contribution of the Technical Department of the Municipality, carried out the implementation of the total renovation of the bathrooms and personal hygiene areas in the Dormitory of the Homeless Shelter of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

The project is a crucial contribution to the increased operational needs of the Dormitory, whose purpose is the temporary nightly accommodation of homeless people. At the same time, the facility implements systematic actions of psychosocial empowerment and support of homeless people, with the accommodation capacity of up to 65 people who are homeless for up to 6 months. The inauguration of the project was attended by representatives and athletes of PAOK FC and Porcelana. On the part of PAOK, the two footballers of the team, Yannis Michailidis and Theocharis Tsingaras, were present and had the opportunity to see the completed project and to be informed about the work and programs of the structure. The event was attended by the staff of the Social Service and the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
