Sokratis’s Motivational Visit to PAOK FC
The last training session before the derby with AEK was a little different and the reason was Sokratis. A little hero who taught PAOK FC a lot in a few minutes, right before their 2-0 derby win against their rival AEK Athens FC. His stories were the main motivation and the booster for their derby match.
Sokratis fought for a long time with the most difficult enemy and defeated him. Tests showed a tumor in the cerebellum. Two surgeries, many chemotherapy treatments, an insatiable thirst for life, boundless courage and at the he defeated every obstacle he faced during this road. Sokratis is recovering and he really wanted to come and meet the players of his favorite team. It would also means a lot more to him if he could motivated the players with his story right before the crucial derby match.
His wish came true and now he is a member of PAOK FC family! New member of the their family came to the Toumba stadium, got a tour of the stadium, met the players, got a shirt with his name on it as a gift, scored a lot of goals and had a lot of fun of. At the end, he encouraged the players with telling his heroic story, which should be example for the most about never giving up, he was even happier when his favorite team won the match.
