STRØMSGODSET IF gets donations for “Blue Heart” Christmas Campaign

There are many out there with blue hearts. Two companies, Skilt Design and Oxer Eiendom, have chosen to give this year’s Christmas gift to the Blue Heart Christmas campaign by Strømsgodset IF. In addition, large sums have been received via the club’s online campaign.

After the Norwegian club launched their Blue Hearts Christmas campaign last week, they have experienced an enormous joy of giving among both companies, organizations and individuals. In addition to contributions from Godsetunionen of NOK 10,000 and BDO of NOK 25,000, this week their partners Oxer Bygg og Skilt Design announced that they also want to contribute to the campaign.

This year, the club wanted to contribute locally. Oxer Eiendom gives 20 000 kroner to Blått Hjerte and Skilt Design has chosen to give 25 000 kroner as this year’s Christmas gift. For Skilt Design, giving away valuable Christmas gifts is something they have done for several years:

“Most people have what they need and more. That’s why we also want to contribute where it’s needed. This year we wanted to contribute locally to more children and families in Drammen getting the opportunity for a slightly cosier Christmas. Christmas is an important event for most people, and it is hard to believe that so many children and young people in Drammen do not have the opportunity to make a little extra out of it.”

The choice fell on “Blue Heart” and the collaboration between Strømsgodset, Save the Children and the Church Town Hall:

“We see the joy and scope such a coordinated and local engagement gives. And we know that the money goes to concrete offers and activities for those who need it. Finally, we encourage other businesses to get involved and make a contribution to the Christmas campaign.”

In addition to the good contributions from the business community, several hundred private individuals have contributed via the club’s Vipps campaign. Here people can donate to concrete causes such as Christmas gifts, experiences or food boxes for families. On Wednesday afternoon, Lars-Jørgen Salvesen and Gustav Valsvik were at River Station to deliver Christmas gifts from Strømsgodset. The gifts were placed under the Christmas trees of the church in the hotel. Here, anyone who wants to can drop in and contribute gifts for children and families who don’t have much for Christmas.

“It is great to see that so many people want to contribute to such a nice cause. As a football club, we have the opportunity to engage both individuals and businesses, and it’s great to see that so many people care. As captain I am proud to play with the Blue Heart on my back.”

Gustav Valsvik, Strømsgodsets Captain
