The ‘Relais Vert’ label awarded to Olympique de Marseille by the “Un Seul Terrain” endowment fund
The mission of the “Un Seul Terrain” endowment fund is to support national and international sports clubs and organisations in their CSR initiatives. This mission began with the creation of the Relais Vert Foundation from 2018 to 2022, and now continues as an endowment fund.
L’Olympique de Marseille (OM) is committed to implementing the necessary means to operate responsibly and sustainably during its events, with players and spectators.
Thanks to the commitment of its managers, partners and suppliers, OM has now reached the Bronze level of the Relais Vert label. Following 6 months of preparation for certification by the “Un Seul Terrain” endowment fund, the audit carried out in May by certifier Ecocert confirmed the club’s achievements and latest results.
Based on the 6 major commitments set out in the Eco-responsible Charter drawn up by the French Ministry of Sport, the Relais Vert label is awarded, after an audit organised by an independent body, to organisers of sporting and cultural events who are committed to improving their environmental impact. Three levels of progress – bronze, silver and gold – are used to assess the certified organisation’s progress.
OM, a Club Committed to a Sustainable Future
To give credibility to its sustainable development actions, OM is working with Relais Vert to certify the objectives of the Ministry of Sport’s Charter.
By being the 1st football club to be awarded the label for its commitments to the Charter, OM is demonstrating its daily commitment to a process of continuous improvement towards sustainability.
