Valerenga expands partnership with Coop to improve community reach

Coop Norge, headquartered in Oslo, is Norway’s second largest grocery player with almost 2 million members.

It is also one of the country’s largest sports partners with established tie-ups in the sector with Eliteserien (Norway’s premier club football competition) and FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

The company has partnered with Valerenga Fotball’s women’s team since 2018 but now has extended that to the men’s team and the club’s stadium until 2023, thus encompassing the whole Valerenga football spectrum.

The collaboration will witness Coop and Valerenga come together to carry out activities focusing on sustainability and better inclusion for women in sports. Both parties have a strong focus on similar topics regarding equal opportunities, community involvement, inclusion strategies and social responsibility.

According to the latest developments, Coop will be the official sponsor of the club’s kits and also the Intility Arena until 2024.
