1st Step4youth project meeting in Lloret de Mar
On the 17th-18th of February EFDN will attend and present at the Step4youth Kick-off event, in Lloret de Mar (Spain).
The objective of STEP4youth is to design, test and evaluate a new sport-based intervention that introduces and improves employability, knowledge, skills and networks in order to foster the social inclusion of refugee and migrant youth. The aims of the kick-off meeting, at the Guitart Hotel Loret de Mar, are to discuss the latest policy developments, explore administrative issues and to give out and receive guidance on contractual project management, including managing online forms. Other topics of discussion will include identifying, financial issues, deliverables, and intellectual outputs. Also, reviewing and identifying the content for the handbook of best practices as well as a presentation from Guitart employability campus.
EFDN will also be presenting at the event. We will present on our Welcome Through Football project, which is all about sharing best practices through the delivery of football-based social inclusion activities, directed at reaching and working with young refugees from the ages of 7 through to 25 years old.
