Apollon school visit to discuss discrimination

On the morning of Wednesday 10th April, a delegation of Apollon Limassol first team players Saša Marković, Michalis Papastylianou and Michalis Papacharalambous along with Marketing Manager Mr. Koulla Stavrinidou and Team Manager, Socrates Socratous attended the Municipal School of Agios Georgios of Chavouzas.

The purpose of the visit and the topic of discussion with young pupils and teachers was equality, the fight against racism and school bullying. The young students had the opportunity to present their own presentation on bullying their experience of bullying over the last few years.

Subsequently, there was a constructive discussion between the players and students. The aim of this campaign being to bring together hundreds of people from the local communities to work together in tackling and fighting discrimination and to fight for equality.

Apollon Limassol has long been a supporter of such events, showing in practice that football can play a leading role in solving the problems that are currently affecting our society.

The event took place during the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks which Apollon have been big supporters by organising various events and initiatives throughout the campaign.
