CAFE to host Disability Hate Crimes and Incidents webinar

On Wednesday 9 December at 3pm (GMT) / 4pm (CET), our partner CAFE will be hosting an online Disability Hate Crimes and Incidents webinar to help raise wider awareness of what constitutes a hate crime and the options available to disabled people.

Hosted by CAFE’s Fan Liaison and Access Officer Amy Wilson, and Research Officer Isobel Robins, this virtual event will aim to highlight examples of disability hate crime and incidents within a sporting context, discuss the impact disability abuse can have on disabled fans, and explore what can be done to help prevent future cases.

This event will also be an opportunity for CAFE to receive feedback on the newly-developed website reporting form from potential users, and to encourage clubs to take a proactive role in challenging disability hate crime.
