Discover a few of the speakers at the 18th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference

The European Football for Development Network (EFDN) will host its 18th EFDN Conference from the 14th until the 16th of November 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. The topic of this EFDN Conference will be “Sustainability and Human Rights”, which will take place at the Groupama Arena, the stadium of EFDN Member Ferenvárosi TC.

EFDN Conferences bring a unique opportunity for CSR experts and newcomers into the CSR world to learn from each other and share their insights about topics such as fundraising in CSR, environmental sustainability, anti-discrimination, social inclusion, online safeguarding, physical activity in younger and older population, or STEM education, among others. The format of the conference includes panels, breakout sessions, study visits and roundtables, and offers multiple chances to network and connect with other EFDN members and experts in the CSR in football.

Allan Bang Christiansen, project chief at FCM Samfund, is a confirmed speaker at our 18th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Budapest from the 14th until the 16th of November 2022.

Mr. Christiansen is a former Sergeant in the army, as well as a business owner in potential development, performance coach for various professionals, and an author in Career potential.

The presentation Mr. Christiansen will be presenting at the conference will cover; Why we do what we do, how we overall do it, and what we specificly do.

He will also discuss the following topics:

  • Mentality: Perspectives on personal mentality, dreams and ambitions
  • Screening: Potential and talents
  • Potential development: Perspectives on how to work with personal potential outside the field

The following three speakers will form a panel on the topic of Gender Orientation & Identity in Football:

Judith Solanas, doctoral researcher / Lecturer at National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC), is a confirmed speaker at our 18th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Budapest from the 14th until the 16th of November 2022.

Originally from Barcelona, Judith is currently conducting a PhD on gender and sexual diversity in sport and physical education at the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC). Alongside her PhD, she is a lecturer of bachelor’s and master’s Degrees in Sport Management and Tourism and Leisure Management at EU Business School Barcelona and at Barcelona International School of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management (CETT-UB).  Prior to commencing her academic journey in sport in Barcelona, she worked in the sport and the sport for development sector for 7 years in different countries, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, South Africa, and Zambia. Advocate for human rights, as well as on non-discrimination, tolerance, respect for diversity, and equality of opportunities, she is a member of Panteres Grogues, the biggest LGTBI sports club in Spain, and an ambassador of AE RAMASSÀ,  a non-for profit sport club which runs an inclusive football program for women seeking asylum and women refugees, some of whom are supported by ACATHI, the Catalan association supporting homosexual, bisexual, and transexual migrants, asylum-seekers and refugees.

Anett Fodor, committee member at ENGSO Youth, is a confirmed speaker at our 18th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Budapest from the 14th until the 16th of November 2022.

Currently working as a freelancer at professional football events, however she is involved with the grassroots world for many years, too. She owns a master degree in Sport Management and during her university studies she co-founded a Budapest based sport and youth oriented NGO. She has actively contirbuted to estabilish volunteering culture in football in her country as she was Head of Volunteers for the UEFA events hosted in Hungary in the past three years, including EURO 2020. She is currently member of the European Non-Governmental Sport Organisations Youth Committee and also of the Hungarian Olympic Committee Equal Opportunities Commission.

Peter Gheysen, Head of Foundation at Belgium football club, Club Brugge, is a confirmed speaker at our 18th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Budapest from the 14th until the 16th of November 2022.

Peter is the Head of Foundation at Belgium football club, Club Brugge. He joined the organisation in 2009, after completing his studies Sport & Business Management. As Head of Foundation he has developed numerous community and sport for development initiatives in the region of Bruges, including the successful ‘Show Racism The Red Card’-project, which combats various forms of inequality and discrimination in an impactful way. Peter is also member of the ‘Steering Committee Good Governance’ and the ‘Ethical Board’ of the football club.
