EFDN welcomes new member Getafe CF

EFDN is delighted to announce Fundación Getafe CF, the charity of Getafe CF as a new member of the network. The Spanish club and its foundation use football as a tool for development. 

Fundación Getafe CF joins our network to share knowledge and experiences with other European clubs. In addition, the foundation and its staff want to be aware of major trends in CSR in football. The club’s Social Responsibility policies are for now focusing on Society, education, environment and innovation. The foundation expresses, through its social action, the solidarity commitment of Getafe CF. It promotes the values inherent to sport as its main asset to contribute to the integral education of children and youth as well as the social inclusion of the most vulnerable groups. Fundación Getafe CF participates and promotes solidarity action in social, cultural and environmental areas.

The club participates in LaLiga Genuine with a team for people with intellectual disabilities. 25 players train every week with official kits and compete frequently. 600 kids train in the club’s youth academy and get for example support from psychologists. Getafe CF established a Women and Leadership Forum to support women and their professional careers.
