Fun day out at RKC Waalwijk!
Doing fun things together is important for everyone, especially in a care home. Hence, last Tuesday and Thursday at Samen RKC was all about the elderly. Two care homes from the region, namely Het Spoorwiel and Eikendonk, visited Mandemakers Stadium!
The Spoorwiel
On a sunny autumn morning, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea, they started the day by watching a training session of the first team. From there, the seniors headed to the Sports Café for a sumptuous lunch. To put the guests even more in the limelight, a nice tour of the Mandemakers Stadium was provided, which the participants really appreciated. Finally, some natural talents were discovered during a fun game of beanbag toss!
Eikendonk
Thursday was a slightly lesser day in terms of weather, but that didn’t spoil the atmosphere! While enjoying a cup of coffee, the Eikendonk residents were welcomed at RKC Waalwijk. After warming up again, the packed lunches came out. Now that there was enough energy in the bodies again, it was time for some exercise activities and the elderly were surprised by a visit from selection players Iliass Bel Hassani, Sebbe Augustijns and Mark Spenkelink. After the exercise, it was time for a tour after which music was made on drums. At 15:30 it was goodbye and the residents left for Eikendonk, tired but satisfied.
All in all, they had two super fun days where guests left with smiles on their faces. What more could you want!
