LFC Foundation brings Winter Wonderland to Norris Green Park
Saturday 4th December marked Liverpool FC’s fifth annual Winter Wonderland Park. The event took place in Norris Green Park as part of LFC Foundation’s Go Play! Programme. The Go Play! Programme is the LFC Foundation’s free public park programme, which aims to get young people and families more active.
The aim is to provide the communities with a fully inclusive and accessible opportunity to access fun games and activities for the whole family.
The event was able to go ahead with the support of Friends of the Park group, LFC Foundation staff and volunteers.
An amazing day was enjoyed by the 800 young people and their families who came along to the park to get active and take part in some fantastic activities.
There was snow in the Winter Wonderland Sensory Tunnel, arts and crafts, the St Helens Concert Band playing their favourite Christmas songs, the Norris Green choir, activities from the Liverpool Athletics Harriers and even Santa’s donkey!
