Member Christmas initiatives: Fundazioa Real Sociedad distributes toys for children
No child in Gipuzkoa should be left without a gift this Christmas. This is the aim of the Gipuzkoa Red Cross campaign “The educational toy”, which has once again been joined by Real Sociedad Fundazioa. Again, the goal is that no child, no matter how difficult their family situation may be, is left without opening a gift on these special dates.
An action that took place last Sunday, taking advantage of the match that Real Sociedad played at the Reale Arena against Real Betis. 4 collection points were placed in the vicinity of the stadium so that all fans, who wish to do so, could collaborate in this noble cause and help by delivering a new toy in the tents installed for this purpose. Every toy needed to be new, so that no child feels different on such a special day.
It will be yet another activity for our young people to continue internalizing the existence of other social realities. The participation of the academy players in this type of event is part of the training and educational work that is carried out daily in Zubieta.
Eventually, balls, cuddly toys, board games, football shirts and many more was collected on Sunday! Real Sociedad fans came to the Reale Arena to bring their new toy with the aim of giving gifts to all children this Christmas.
From 14:45, Red Cross volunteers and players from the Txuri Urdin youth teams have been collecting the new toys that the fans have taken to the tents located around the stadium. Once again this year, everyone wanted to contribute to this cause and dozens of fans came to the tents. The president of Real Sociedad, Jokin Aperribay, also went to the marquee located in front of the Reale Arena shop to hand out a gift.
