MFF’s Sustainability strategy consists of new steps

Sustainability will be an integral part of Malmö FF‘s everyday life.

Since the early 1900s, the club has been involved in many different ways in contributing to a sustainable and better society. In 2022, measurable goals were established so that MFF can ensure in a clearer and more long-term way that its sustainability work is moving in the right direction.

Strategy for driving change

Malmö FF’s sustainability strategy is based on the UN’s 17 global sustainability goals within the framework of Agenda 2030. Here, the association has selected four goals with associated sub-goals to lead the sustainability work. In addition, MFF has its own sub-goal in line with Goal 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production). The four goals, respectively the sub-goal, provide three strategic focus areas:

  • Social sustainability
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Business sustainability

Measurability is the key to improvement

A major change in 2022 is that Malmö FF has now established measurable targets – so-called KPIs – linked to all its sustainability goals. The goals will be able to be measured and followed up in a clear and long-term manner to ensure that the sustainability work is moving in the right direction. The results of our development work are reflected in our vision platform. The starting point for everything we do is our core values, which guide us in our pursuit of our vision to gain and share joy, togetherness, and success with as many people as possible.
