OH Leuven raises 10,000 euros for warmest week!

The Warmest Match took place in Leuven this year. Besides breaking the spectator record, the match between OH Leuven Women and Club YLA raised no less than 10,000 euros. This money will go entirely to The Warmest Week.

The match between OH Leuven Women and Club YLA was all about The Warmest Week. Besides breaking the spectator record for a women’s match in Belgium, several fun activations took place in and around the King Power at Den Dreef Stadium. For example, the A-team players served pasta and sold pancakes. Besides the proceeds from ticket sales and the match ball, this money also went to The Warmest Week.

The total proceeds came to just over €9,000, but OH Leuven still matched to reach the nice sum of €10,000. Today, a delegation of the club travelled to Hasselt to hand over the collected amount. Including an OH Leuven shirt for presenter Sander Gillis.

The Warmest Week is VRT’s solidarity action, organised annually in the week before Christmas, from 19 to 24 December. This year, the theme is poverty of opportunity. All the money collected during The Warmest Week goes to the DWW Fund and will be used entirely to make concrete projects possible within the central theme of chance poverty.
