Red Bull Salzburg fulfils dream of 90-year-old fan

FC Red Bull Salzburg made a wish of Margarethe Bermadinger come true. The 90-year-old fan of the Austrian champion was invited to the last home game of the season.

Margarethe Bermadinger is living in a retirement home owned by the Catholic service organisation Caritas. Together with Caritas, Red Bull Salzburg made it possible to fulfill her wishes. Margarethe Bermadinger wanted to see the mountains around Salzburg once again and to experience her favourite club live once in her life.

“Margarethe keeps raving about her mountains and we also know that she is a huge football fan – of course with FC Red Bull Salzburg as her favourite club”, explained Caritas employee Andrea Kaltenböck. She was grateful for the support and the invitation of the club: “In this way, other football-loving residents have come along.”

Ultimately, not only Margarethe Bermadinger but also other residents, staff members, relatives, and volunteers could join the trip to the Arena. Together with 14 other residents, the passionate fan could cheer for her favourite football team.
