Shakhtar Social: Ivano-Frankivsk has joined the Come on, Let’s Play!

Shakhtar Social and the YASNO brand have opened a new “Come on, Let’s Play!” playground in Ivano-Frankivsk. The Shakhtar Social Charitable Foundation, with the support of the YASNO brand, has opened a new site for the Come on, Let’s Play! project in Ivano-Frankivsk, which is the second one to be run in partnership with YASNO. This summer, training sessions began in Lviv, where Shakhtar player Danylo Sikan visited and played football with the children.

The opening ceremony was attended by YASNO regional representative Taras Kozelko and Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv.

The guests gave instructions to the future athletes, wished them to achieve high results and presented branded gifts from Shakhtar Social and the YASNO brand.

Come on, Let’s Play!

“Come on, Let’s Play!” is the largest social project aimed at developing amateur football for children in Ukraine. It is implemented by the non-profit foundation Shakhtar Social with the support of the general partner, DTEK energy company.

The project involves boys and girls aged 7 to 12. The “Come on, Let’s Play!” playgrounds in 43 settlements are equipped with balls and all the necessary sports equipment. Qualified coaches work with the children.

The main objectives of “Come on, Let’s Play!”:

• Forming a habit of playing sports
• Fostering universal values

The goal of “Come on, Let’s Play!” is development through sports, and football in particular. The training process is designed in such a way that children not only improve their health, but also improve the qualities that are important both on the football field and in life. Training helps to foster universal values such as respect, team spirit, knowledge, confidence, responsibility, initiative, and creativity.

Every year, at the end of the season, the final tournament “Come on, Let’s Play!” is held at the FC Shakhtar Academy in Shchaslyve, where the best teams from different cities take part.

Since 2019, Shakhtar Social, together with the UEFA Foundation for Children, has been implementing the Come on, Let’s Play! project in 8 settlements on the contact line (Avdiivka, Toretsk, Stanytsia Luhanska, Maryinka, Kurakhove, Schastya, Volnovakha, Krasnohorivka).
