Shkahtar Social participants defy the cold

The first stage of the Welcome through Football project implementation at Shakhtar is almost finished. Despite the onset of winter and freezing weather outside, the training sessions of the Welcome through Football project continue and the first stage is about to end soon. The project’s purpose is to share experience and developing a football-based social inclusion methodology.

It has been implemented by Shakhtar Social with the support of the EFDN and the UEFA Foundation for Children. Besides Shakhtar, Welcome through Football involves six more EFDN members: Benfica (Portugal), Werder Bremen (Germany), Everton, Sheffield United (both England), Emmen (Netherlands) and Apollon Limassol (Cyprus).
