The Kick-Off Programme Makes a Comeback at Standard de Liège

This 2023-2024 season, Standard de Liège has decided to relaunch the Kick-Off programme in close collaboration with its 2 partners, Fan Coaching of the city of Liège and AVIQ (Agence pour une Vie de Qualité).

The Kick-Off programme is an integration project that forms part of the social dimension of the Liège club’s CSR strategy.

It was created and launched during the 2013-2014 season and has been a great success for several seasons.

Today, the main club has decided to organise it again with the help of the partners who made it possible at the time.

In concrete terms, the idea is to offer groups of 15 people with mental and/or physical disabilities the opportunity to follow an introduction to football at Standard de Liège’s training centre, the SL16 Football Campus. Each group will take part in a cycle of 5 sessions based on psychomotor learning of games between hands and feet, eyes and hands and eyes and feet. Each session will be followed by a friendly match between the participants. Training will be given by a qualified sports educator and a fan coach from the City of Liège.

At the end of the integration programme, each group will be invited to attend a first team match.
