Toulouse FC fights against discrimination

Toulouse FC is back in Toulouse leisure centers and on the pitchouns’ training grounds to talk about diversity and inclusion. This season, the Club will also intervene with middle school students, as part of the Secular and Citizen Course, a program developed by the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne.

Return to schoolchildren and their pitchouns

Since 2003, TéFéCé has been developing an educational program aimed at sharing the positive values of football with young schoolchildren in Toulouse. The objective is to contribute to citizenship education while training future generations of supporters. In the continuity of the new educational program launched last season, our educational team, accompanied by players from the Club, will meet young people from the TFC Academy and schoolchildren. A new string to its bow in 2022-2023, the Club is taking part in the Secular and Citizen Course of the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne, and will also meet young college students. Objective: to discuss the issue of discrimination and more particularly around sexism and racism in sport, to promote living together.

Start of the 2022-2023 season

The first awareness sessions aimed at the young people of our TFC Academy began at the end of September with our male U12s, in the presence of our professional goalkeeper Thomas Himeur and Justin Lacombe, goalkeeper of the reserve team. Then, at the end of October, Kristal Ettien and Sonia Roumiga, players of the women’s D2 team went to meet their young counterparts in the U13 category.

The first intervention in the leisure center was held in the presence of Chaïma Badbassem, player of the women’s team and Moussa Diarra, player of the professional team. In order to continue the reflection among young people, and in partnership with the Town Hall of Toulouse, young people who have been made aware will have to work on a citizen tifo which they will present to the public at the Stadium during a match dedicated to the fight against racism next March.
