Winter Blood Collection by Club Brugge Foundation was a Big Success

The Red Cross winter blood collection in the bustling heart of Club Brugge was a great success. In the dressing room of the team, almost all the time slots were full. Known donors, but also 10 new donors came to donate blood free of charge.

NEW DONORS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

One of these new donors is Frederik Baes from Bruges, loyal supporter and subscriber of Blue-Black and since that evening brand-new donor to the Red Cross. “I’ve always wanted to donate blood, but I never got around to it. When I got the mail from Club Brugge and saw that there was a collection at the Jan Breydel Stadium, I didn’t have to think twice. The donation went very well and I was able to walk in the players’ footsteps. I have not regretted my choice for a moment.”

The start of a tradition? The club hopes that they can continue to welcome Frederik and all (new) donors to the Jan Breydel Stadium.

VITAL BLOOD COLLECTIONS

3% of the Flemish people donate blood while 70% need a blood transfusion at some point in their lives. A message that more than 75 donors understood very well. In the players’ tunnel with a view on the pitch, each of them helped to keep the blood supply up to standard.
