OM Campus Hosted Walking Football with its Former Players
On April 13th, the Walking Football tournament, organised by the Amicale des Anciens, took place at the OM Campus.
The link between Olympique de Marseille and its former players is essential in the development of the club. Three teams joined the organisers: Nice, Vias and Les Catalans during the beautiful sunny morning under the sign of sharing and conviviality!
Walking Football, or “football while walking”, is not a relaxing activity. Walking football is played with a small number of players and, although players are not allowed to run, good positioning and fast walking are fundamental to performing well in this sport. An adaptation of football that responds directly to the needs of seniors who want to continue their favourite sport and stay connected with each other.
An event that marks the will and ambition to continue and strengthen the link between OM and its former players, as their experience is key to the connection to the history and values of the club.
Executive ambassador of Olympique de Marseille, Jean-Pierre Papin was also present alongside the Amicale des Anciens.
