RANGERS CHARITY FOUNDATION SET TO LAUNCH READY4EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMME

The Rangers Charity Foundation is participating in the #Morethanfootball campaign and they have announced that they will be launching a new employability programme later this month, which aims to improve job prospects for people who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents of Govan, a neighbourhood in Glasgow, aged 18-24 will be offered support with employment and future opportunities, while at the same time enhance their qualifications, confidence and self-esteem. The initiative is designed to address the challenges these people are facing because of the pandemic, like mental health problems.

  • First Impression Sessions
  • Health Benefits of Exercise, Diet and Nutrition
  • Mental Health First Aid Training
  • Skills Experience Identification
  • Physical Activities and Coaching Sessions
  • Stewarding Training
  • Retail Training
  • First Aid Training Certification
  • SQA Unit in Employability
  • Presentation and IT Skills
  • One-to-One Interviews, Support and Action Plan
  • Govan Job Match Coordinator Employment Session
  • CV Building
  • 6 Week Aftercare Support
  • Lunches Provided

With the support of the Scottish Government’s Supporting Communities Fund, this programme will run for three weeks, beginning on the 21st of September.
