Sport and Refugee Women: The INSPIRES European Seminar

Join experts from across the refugee and sport fields on Monday 6th September to discuss the inclusion of refugee women in and through sport. The INSPIRES European Seminar will take place on Monday 6th September between 3pm and 5pm (London). Click to register your attendance here.  

Speakers include Khalida Popal, the former captain of the Afghanistan women’s national team, who has fought tirelessly in recent weeks to evacuate over 100 athletes from her home country as the Taliban regained power. You will also have the chance to hear from sports broadcaster and journalist Ben Jacobs, Discover Football coach and activist Johanna Small, and Pier-Marcello Corrado from the European Commission.

Participants will have the opportunity to network, share best practice and experience, and consider the road to recovery for NGOs and grassroots organisations following the Covid-19 pandemic.
