EFDN Resources – KAA Gent Foundation releases 2018 Report

The KAA Gent Foundation has just published its annual report about its activities in 2018. The report lists up all the important figures.

2018 was a well-filled year for the KAA Gent Foundation. The organisation showed strong innovative dynamics on three fronts:

  • Investments were made in the recruitment of three community coaches. They guide projects and raise the quality of the social-sporting #COBW method to a higher level.
  • Active Fans, first health project for KAA Gent supporters, was set up. The stadium is used as a sports hall where tips for a healthier lifestyle and training sessions are given.
  • In New Ghent, commissioned by the City of Ghent, the Street Wise pilot project was launched: square football for young people in the neighborhood of Nieuw Gent-Steenakker. The aim is to develop personal skills and engage the neighborhood.

The KAA Gent Foundation confirmed its reputation as a socio-sporting innovator in the professional football world in 2018 by winning the Pro League + Award 2018 (Pro League) and the CSR & Community Award 2018 (European Club Association). Finally, on the 13th and 14th of November, KAA Gent organised the 11th EFDN Conference in the Ghelamco Arena, which was one of the highlights for the organisation.

You can read all the facts and figures of 2018 in the 2018 annual report here (Dutch version).
