Longford Town FC
Longford Town Football Club is an Irish professional football club playing in the League of Ireland Premier Division. The club, founded in 1924 and elected to the league in 1984 is based in Longford, County Longford and play their home matches at Strokestown Road, which for sponsorship reasons is also known as Bishopsgate. Club colours are red and black, and the club goes by the nickname ‘De Town’.
Longford Town FC in the heart of the community
In the past year, the pandemic has been a tough time for many. Not deterred however, the club, through their dedicated Supporters Club have reached out to the local community. Longford Town FC has presented Easter Eggs to the Longford Ambulance service. They also made a presentation of food to a local care centre.
Local community groups have been reached and involved on match nights. Providing the Longford community with quality football, at all levels for players and supporters alike.
