PSV United

PSV United is a motivating football based educational programme that is aimed to develop the different talents of young people form three neighbourhoods in Eindhoven (Mensfort, Tongelre and Bennekel) and one in Geldrop (Braakhuizen). PSV United is for selected boys and girls in the age of 9 to 18 years old and focuses on talent development. In all the football and neighbourhood activities, that are provided by PSV trainers, the training in values such as being responsible for your own actions and respect for others are one of the key pillars for the success of the programme. Youth crime and nuisance-causing groups are reduced drastically in the neighbourhoods where the programme is delivered. Furthermore, there is more respect between the young people and the other residents of the neighbourhood. The programme offers two football sessions per week and also addresses important topics such as a healthy diet, have plenty of exercise and showing respect to others. In addition to training sessions, the PSV United teams are also playing matches against each other and participate in other organised community activities.
