Coaching & training for young adults

Mifalot offers a range of training programs aimed at training all coaches and volunteers into becoming ever-better sports coaches. The courses and trainings presented below are run in cooperation with the TAU Sports Department (Siim Center).

Training for football coaches

This training program is principally focused on coaching Mifalot’s socially aware football coaches (of all demographic backgrounds).

Main learning goals include:
  • Develop employment, social and leadership skills (such as role modeling).
  • Become professional sports coaches.

 Training for sports instructors

This training program is principally focused on coaching young instructors looking for a tool to implement social change in their home community – through sports.

Main learning goals include:

  • Understand societal issues and needs for change.
  • Develop employment, social and leadership skills (such as role modeling).
  • Organize, coordinate and plan sports events in their community.

Training for coaches of special needs groups

In Israel Mifalot is one of the leading organizations in the field of special needs (we hold close ties with the Special Olympics committee). Consequently, we have designed a training program for coaches and volunteers compassionate for individuals with special needs. Beneficiaries who complete the training are provided a chance for a follow-up training that guarantees a paid position as a sports coach.

Main learning goals include:
  • Understand and learn how to deal with the specifications of the special needs.
  • Develop a sense of empowerment and competence to coach teams with special needs.
